I UNDERSTAND

The Tim Mitchell Building, Winchcombe

A grant by the Trust from a legacy left to us by Tim Mitchell enable the construction of this building on Platform 1 at Winchcombe.

Designed to replicate a Great Western Railway Goods Shed, the building provides a meeting room on the lower floor most often used by our visiting school groups as a classroom, but the facility can be used for other purposes including hire to non-Railway organisations.

The upper floor, known as the Terry Creswell Room, is a volunteer training room. Terry’s legacy enabled us to fit out to a high standard with audio visual and kitchen facilities.
